How to Wet Block Your Granny Square

Hi! If you've been following along with me, you know that I just posted a Granny Square Video Tutorial and the DIY Blocking Board I used to block it. It's always good to make the best of my projects/videos (when I actually plan it out!).

What is Wet Blocking? It's exactly what it sounds like. All you need is to pin down the sucker and spray it with some water. You can get cheap spray bottles at Walmart or Target.

I used my handmade blocking board but you can use a foam mat. I had so many of those when my kiddos were babies! You will need ins to hold your granny square down.

What you need

• Blocking Board or Foam Mat

• Something to pin your square down

• Spray bottle

Pin down your granny square to the desired size. Use a. ruler/tape measurement if you need it. I found it easier to mark my foam board before blocking. There are boards with measurements on it too!

Once you've placed your granny square down, just spray it with your water bottle and fix anything you need to on the granny square. I let mine air dry. When it's summer, I put it outside and it dries super quick!

If you're using a board like mine and you're blocking several at once, try to give it some space between squares so it dries faster.
