Just released is the knit Cluster Slouch. I've been dying to experiment with this stitch. I recently created a video of the stitch so that it would help with this pattern. I used Lion Brand's Mandala, Thick & Quick. YES! THICK AND QUICK!

There are 4 sizes available: Baby (Toddler, Child, Adult). This pattern uses Super Bulky weight yarn and I used just the one skein (87 yards) for this beanie. Even thought my son modeled this, it is an adult size. It fits me but usually I don't like to model it. So, if you're wanting a slouchier beanie with a Pom Pom, then you'll definitely need 2 skeins (more than 87 yards). I would say a skein of Lion Brand's Wool Ease, Quick & Thick, 106 yards is enough for an adult with a pom! Click below photos for the different yarns you can substitute with.
Another option is Lion Brand's Hometown USA, 100% Acrylic Yarn.
Here are some of my favorite needles I use to make beanies. This pattern requires 16" knitting needles but you can always use Double Pointed Needles (which I'm not a fan of!)
I'm including needles that I don't use anymore but are great for beginners on a budget or wanting to spend too much. The fixed 16" bamboo ($8.28) are the ones I started using to learn with.
