Crochet Stained Glass Wrap Pattern

Lion Brand has launched kits for their Cotton Must Haves this spring! My Stained Glass Wrap is now available in a kit for 20% off! I used their Comfy Cotton Blend yarn to whip up this large wrap.


This wrap is made using an openwork rippled stitch throughout the entire wrap. This gives it a lacy and beautiful, feminine wrap.

HOOK: Tulip US J/6mm

PATTERN

Foundation: ch 103, dc2tog in the 4th & 5th ch from hook, *[sk1 st, ch1, 1dc in next st] 3 times, sk1, ch1, 5dc in the next st, [sk1 st, ch1, 1dc in next st] 3 times, sk1 st, ch1, dc5tog over the next 5 sts. Rep from * until last 18 sts. [sk1 st, ch1, 1dc in next st] 3 times, sk1, ch1, 5dc in the next st, [sk1 st, ch1, 1dc in next st] 3 times, sk1 st, ch1, dc3tog over the last 3 sts.


Row 1: ch1 & turn, 1sc in the same st, 1sc in every st (including ch1 sp) across.


Row 2: ch3 (counts as dc st) & turn, dc2tog over the next 2 sts, *[sk1 st, ch1, 1dc in next st] 3 times, sk1, ch1, 5dc in the next st, [sk1 st, ch1, 1dc in next st] 3 times, sk1 st, ch1, dc5tog over the next 5 sts. Rep from * until last 18 sts. [sk1 st, ch1, 1dc in next st] 3 times, sk1, ch1, 5dc in the next st, [sk1 st, ch1, 1dc in next st] 3 times, sk1 st, ch1, dc3tog over the last 3 sts.



Repeat rows 1 & 2 thirty-six times for a total of 136 rows or until your wrap measures approx. 78” long. You can stop at any time if you want a shorter length. End after row 1. Do not fasten off.


Edge: Work 2 sc sts in the same st (from last completed row). Now work sc sts evenly down the long side, working approx. 4 sts for every 2 rows (Rows 1 & 2). Work 3 sc sts in the corner, then work 1sc in every st and ch sp along the bottom (beginning foundation). Work 3 sc sts in the corner, then work sc sts evenly along the other side, working approx. 4 sts for every 2 rows (Row 1 & 2). End with 3 sc sts in the last st. Sl st to the first sc st on your last row.


Finishing

Fasten off and weave in all ends
