Crochet Petal Stitch Pattern + Tutorial

Hi! Today, I have a stitch tutorial that i'm super excited about. I used the Petal Stitch in the Wrapped in Petals Shrug Pattern design. I figured some may just want to learn the stitch.

ABBREVIATIONS

ch – Chain

st(s) – Stitch(es)

sl st – Slip Stitch

yo – Yarn Over

sc – Single Crochet

tr– Treble Crochet

sk – Skip

rep – Repeat

sc2tog – Single Crochet 2 sts Together

SKILL LEVEL – Intermediate

Instructions

Row 1 (ws): ch50, 1sc n 2nd ch from hook, *ch2, sk3 sts, 4tr in next st, ch2, sk2 sts, 1sc in next. Rep from * to end.

Row 2: ch1, turn, 1sc in same st, *ch3, sk ch2 & 1st tr, 1sc in next tr st, ch3, sk2 tr & ch2, 1sc in next sc st. Rep from * to end.

Row 3: ch4 (counts as 1tr st), turn, 1tr in the same st, *ch2, 1sc in next sc st, ch2, 4tr in next sc st. Rep from * to end working only 3tr sts in the last sc st.

Row 4: ch1, turn, 1sc in same st, *ch3, 1sc in next sc st, ch3, sk ch2 & 1tr, 1sc in tr st. Rep from * to end.

Row 5: ch1, turn, 1sc in same st, *ch2, 4tr in next sc st, ch2, 1sc in next sc st. Rep from * to end.

Rep rows 2-5 until desired size. End after rows 3 or 5.
