Crochet Lacy Clusters Stitch Pattern

Hi everyone! Happy Mother's Day! I wanted to post this right now before today gets crazy. Today is also my oldest son's 9th birthday!

We spent the day at the Exploratorium in San Francisco and they had so much fun. We spent 6 hours in there! My husband fell asleep on one of the couches towards the end and I had to go looking for more coffee!

I went down memory lane last night looking at old photos of him and ended up going to bed at 2am! I'm usually in bed by 9 haha!

So, I have another Crochet Stitch tutorial for you! I've been trying to build up my tutorials on my YouTube Channel and had some time to record a few a couple of weeks ago. If you would like to see a specific stitch, please send me a message and I will add it to my list!

Today's tutorial is on the Crochet Lacy Clusters Stitch. I've been looking to provide more lacy, light and airy stitches for the Spring & Summer patterns. I love EASY but beautiful textured stitches! This stitch would be great for a simple long scarf for the spring. You can even add fringe on the ends!

HOOK: Tulip US H/5.5mm

ABBREVIATIONS

ch – Chain

st(s) – Stitch(es)

sl st – Slip Stitch

sk – Skip

sp – Space

sc – Single Crochet

dc – Double Crochet

rep - Repeat

Special Stitches: Cluster Stitch (CL) - [yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through 2 loops] 4 times. yo, pull through all 5 loops.

PATTERN

Foundation: ch in multiples of 6 stitches + 2

1sc in 2nd ch from hook and in every ch across.

Row 1: ch1 & turn, 1sc in each of the next 2 sts, *ch5, sk3, 1sc in next st, CL, 1sc in next. Rep from * until last 5 sts. End with ch5, sk3, 1sc in each of the last 2 sts.

Row 2: ch3 (counts as dc st) & turn, 1dc in next st, *3sc in ch5 sp, 1dc in each of the next 3 sts. Rep from * until last ch5 sp. End with 3sc sts in the ch5 sp, 1dc in each of the last 2 sts.

Repeat rows 1-2 until desired size.

If you're wanting to finish this stitch, I recommend crocheting one last row of just single crochet sts. It will be very similar to row 1 except you're not going to work dc stitches over the CL st.
